WHO CAN GO
RAFTING
The
following traits are absolutely necessary
to
run the river with us.
Our
Whitewater Rafting tours are suitable for most people. However,
it is not for everyone. Very few handicaps or conditions will
prohibit anyone from safely participating in our river trip. However,
there are some persons with unique medical, physical, intellectual,
psychological or other conditions that would disqualify them from
our whitewater rafting trip. Please call for particulars. We regret
that we are unable to accommodate individuals who are emotionally
or intellectually challenged. Persons with a cognitive disorder,
those lacking the ability to cooperate, and anyone not capable
of independently taking care of themselves cannot safely participate
in our trips. Anyone diagnosed with, or prescribed medication
for, ADHD, ADD, ASPERGER'S SYNDROME, AUTISM or any similar DEVELOPMENTAL
or COGNITIVE DISORDERS will be denied participation in our river
rafting trips.
YOU
MUST BE IN GOOD HEALTH AND PHYSICALLY FIT |
You need not be an athlete nor unusually strong.
However, you must meet normal standards of fitness and health.
YOU
MUST BE 12 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER |
Under no circumstances
will a child under 12 years old
be
allowed on a river trip with us.
YOU
MUST BE INTELLECTUALLY SHARP AND EMOTIONALLY MATURE |
It's absolutely
essential that you be able to clearly understand,
and
quickly respond to, our advice and directions
during
the course of your trip with us.
Anyone diagnosed with, or prescribed medication for,
ADHD, ADD, ASPERGER'S SYNDROME, AUTISM
or any similar DEVELOPMENTAL or COGNITIVE DISORDERS
will be denied participation in our river rafting trips.
YOU
MUST HEAR WELL AND THOROUGHLY UNDERSTAND THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE |
Again, it's
essential that you be able to clearly understand,
and
quickly respond to, our advice and directions
during
the course of your trip with us.
YOU
MUST ARRIVE SOBER AND DRUG FREE, AND REMAIN SO THROUGHOUT
YOUR TRIP |
We will deny participation, without refund,
to anyone who is not sober upon arrival or does not stay sober.
YOU
MUST BE ABLE TO INDEPENDENTLY TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF |
YOU
MUST CALL US REGARDING ANY UNIQUE PHYSICAL OR HEALTH CONDITIONS
(218) 384-4637 |
If
you fail to discuss your unique condition prior to your trip,
you may be disqualified upon arrival, or on-river, with no refund.
Don't risk the frustration. The above list of conditions is not
a complete list. Please call us with any unique medical, physical,
intellectual, psychological or other condition that could possibly
disqualify you or your friends from our whitewater rafting trip.
We reserve the right to deny your
participation in our river trip if, in our opinion, you have any
condition that may jeopardize your safety or the safety of others.
We also reserve the right to remove you, without refund, from
our river trip at any point and time if you prove to be unable
to continue the trip in a safe manner, or if our river guide determines
that your further progress down the river subjects you or others
to unnecessary risk to your own safety or to the safety of others.
We also reserve the right to insist that you hire an in-raft guide,
if we believe that your participation in our river trip may jeopardize
your safety or the safety of others.

Please
call us if there is any doubt about your qualifications for our
trip.

Are you extremely nervous, lack swimming ability,
or do you desire to make your river trip
a First Class Experience?
If so...
IN-RAFT
RIVER GUIDES ARE AVAILABLE
(In-Raft
Guides MUST be reserved in advance, they CANNOT be available upon
arrival.)

What's
so special about our river rafting trips is that they are truly
participatory. We do not take you down the river - we talk you
down. It's not a ride - it's an adventure.
Your
guides are not in the raft with you. They accompany you in kayaks,
constantly advising you, and constantly monitoring and supervising
your on river adventure with us.

The
majority of our guests have no need for an In-Raft River Guide.
However, you can choose to have an In-Raft Guide to enhance your
safety and your fun with personal attention. If you would like
an In-Raft Guide, they are available for hire at the cost of $50,
shared by everyone in your raft.

Your
In-Raft Guides MUST be reserved in advance; without an advance
reservation, they CANNOT be available upon arrival.
We
reserve the right to insist that you hire an in-raft guide, if
we believe that your participation in our river trip may jeopardize
your safety or the safety of others.
